The Dutch research school for astronomics NOVA and the Zernicke Institute for Advanced Materials were evaluated to be 'exemplary'. The other four, the Centre for Biomedic Genetics (CBG), Communication Technologies Basic Research and Applications (COBRA), Dutch National Research School Combination Catalysis (NRSCC) and the Netherlands Research Centre of Integrated Solid Earth Sciences (ISES) are considered 'excellent'.
